Below are the results for the October 3rd 2020 AAU cross country meet in Elgin at Harvest Christian Academy.
Course conditions: 54 degrees, cloudy with some light rain. Course was a hilly 2 loop one mile course
Even on the hilly course a few Striders ran to a new personal best:
Daniel Varol – 2 mile 12:15, 5th place (prior best 12:21)
Nora McCabe – 2 mile 12:46, 4th place (prior best 12:58)
Jack Etchason – 2 mile 13:07, 11th place (prior best 13:13)
Congrats to Mia Kotler (11:40) and Colin McKinney (12:21) for 1st place wins in their age group!!
Congrats to the Striders who competed at the Ranger meet – Distance 3k (1.86 miles), a very hilly course:
Sofia Arcuri – 11:25 (6:08 per mile), 3rd place (out of 75)
Luisa Arcuri – 12:16 (6:30 per mile), 13th place (out of 75)
Gino Arcuri – 11:17 (6:03 per mile), 8th place (out of 88)
Sam Thompson – 11:18 (6:04 per mile). 9th place (out of 88)
