Almost perfect weather for track!! The temperature was 60 degrees and sunny. There were a total of 11 Striders competing at the meet.

The first running event of the day was the 1600m. Maeve Rafferty was the only Strider runner today.

The second race was the 100m dash. The Striders had 7 total runners entered with the typically longer distance Arcuri runners trying out the sprints!

The Striders had 3 total athletes in this mid distance race.
Gus Berlinghof – was alone up front the whole race taking 1st by 22 seconds in 2:33.78 NEW personal Best (prior best=2:36.35).
Nora McCabe – Pulled out a 1st place win in the last 20 meters finishing in 2:31.98 (personal best=2:29.80)
Maeve Rafferty – 2:57.68 (personal best=2:43.89)
4x200m relay races The Striders had one Varsity boys team
Will Glunz, Mathew Leistensnider, James Degand and Gino Arcuri had a strong relay time of 2:04.80 and a Second place, just edging out the LaGrange team by 0.44 seconds at the finish line!!
400m race – There were SEVEN Striders.
Gus Berlinghof was alone again at the front taking 1st place by 6 seconds in a time of 1:13.16, setting a NEW personal Best (prior best=1:19.15)
The Varsity girls dominated the 400m race finishing in 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th place!!

LAST EVENT of the DAY: 4x400m relay
The Striders had just a 7th/8th grade girls team .
The girls team of Lucia Fuentes, Luisa Arcuri, Nora McCabe and Sofia Arcuri had an incredibly strong race winning the girls division by six seconds in a time of 4:35.39. Lucia started off the team with a strong 1:09. Luisa took over and quickly gave the team a lead that they never gave up all the way to the finsih line with Sofia cementing the anchor leg with a 1:06!
